I was really getting jazzed reading the article, then it got to the point of you play as one of these existing characters and I got disappointed.

Whilst the game looks good, I’d rather generate a new character that could interact with existing characters, and tell a story of that new character via the mechanics of the game.

EDIT: On second reading, I may have misread the first time.
