    Hi folks,

Where is everyone buying their vehicles and ships from for the new Stargrave game.

I’d love some help and suggestions please from the community

So far I’m waiting and seeing. Do you know ships and vehicles are part of the game? (Genuine question, I’m not on Facebook and I believe there’s info on there I’m not seeing).

For now I’m digging out any non-gothic sci fi stuff from The Pile with a view to see what I can make of it.

Ok that and window-shopping the vehicles on Antenociti’s Workshop ?

I just assumed that it was like Frostgrave/Rangers and was going to be figure based. Definitely looking into ships for Billion Suns though. Brigade and Agents of Gaming are the two I’m looking at after seeing them spoken about on the Weekender a few weeks back.

I would go with some cheap Ebay available proxy options that I have come across that where for a certain sunseted video game if I need ships. For everything else there is the Tehnolog’s Robogear and Bronekorpus lines and greenable builds (deodorant bottle tanks anyone?). Not to mention all the stuff I already have in the closet.

Edit: there is also the Toon World Tanks by Meng models, they work pretty well with WA’s Death Fields line as well as GWs stuff (or even Hist scale minis turned SciFi through Frankenstein Measures), so they outta work with Northstars stuff.

Maybe its time to break out the old Rogue Trader and we can learn how to make tanks out of shampoo bottles again

I’m waiting until I get the book, although North Star have said that their will be a “Nickstarter,” a kind of preorder deal which involves free stuff (which is always good) so I may get some official stuff.

I also have around 40 of the chaos marine cultists which I no longer use (use newer Necromunda gang models instead for my cultists) so I may dig some of those out and convert them.

(edit: Several hours after I posted this I realised I misread the title, silly me.)

I’m not sure if they are needed I think if not I may still use one as a jump off point. My initial thoughts are to use what I have already and so it looks like it will be a transport drone from Gates of Antares or an old Eldar wave serpent. I also like the idea of going with a Steam punk crew so may go off in a completely different direction.

From the little I’ve picked up from some dudes on YouTube it seems it’ll function like your base in Frostgrave. You’ll pimp it and get certain bonuses from that but with no requirement to model one.

This is not to rule out the deodorant bottle speeder ?

If you know anyone that uses e cigarette the coils they  use are all sorts of wonderful shapes and would make great gun barrels. For example

I’ve got some GCPS Mules & interceptors from mantic and I thought I would start with those and see what north star and others come up with

The spaceships will generally be used as scenery, though Joe (the author) hinted at at least one scenario where three shuttles would be part of the special rules.
