A while back there was something floating around on Kickstarter (I think) about angels and devils trapped on earth. One of the miniatures was St. Peter dressed in a suit and holding a bat with nails in it. He was either a gangster or a nightclub bouncer, maybe both. Another crazy mini was death, who was depicted as an old lady dragging around a giant pair of scissors. I think her lore was that she was the Biblical Eve, because apparently “the big guy” had thought she still hadn’t suffered enough.

Does anyone remember this game? Do you remember what it was called?

It was Purgatory. I have it upstairs, no St Peter but I do have the funk band.

Shame it never seemed to catch on. Was it too weird, or not weird enough.

Speaking for myself the minis are not for the faint hearted. I might have the skill to put them together, the confidence? Maybe

I second this sentiment – I have the boxed game and just couldn’t bring myself to attempt building it….

The figures for this game reminded of the tv series Dominion for some reason?

This thread is about an obscure miniatures range/game, not slot machines.

How do I report @rinajakkiersto for spam?

@brianfowler713 I usually use the above text in a variation to report. If you use it the same way too often itself will get flagged as spam

I got this too, but I couldn’t really figure out what the setting was. It came with a short story, but even after reading it I still felt I had no idea what the setting was. I thought it was worth getting just for the interesting minis, but I can’t imagine it helped the game take off if others, like me, didn’t really understand what was meant to be happening.

Perhaps there was more info either published online or in one of the rules booklets (apart from reading the short story I think I only browsed through the game, I didn’t study it), but even if that were the case, it could still have been a barrier to entry for others.

The game you are referring to is called “Deliverance: The Game of Spiritual Warfare.” It is a Kickstarter game that features a tactical adventure storyline involving angels, demons, and saints caught in a clash of good and evil. The game includes miniatures, including St. Peter dressed as a bouncer and Death portrayed as an old lady with giant scissors. The game aims to provide an immersive experience of the battle between angels and devils trapped on earth. But to be honest, I like the gambling on the website better. Here you can not only have fun playing, but also earn some money.
