The other half just informed me that TBT from the Goodies passed away from the covid 19 virus aged 79. A legend from a missed spent youth and a great TV show…..

Sad news indeed along with Stirling Moss and Peter Bonetti and the countless hundreds of other unknowns

The Goodies was a great BBC comedy series, irreverent yet clean.

Very sad – Tim grew up in the town I’m from, his family still operate a successful solicitors in the area. Lost a legend.

The Goodies was a big deal for me growing up. It was madness and maybe the first time comedy wasn’t presented to me as just a joke told with a punchline on TV or in the playground. My mum really liked it so it was something we could enjoy together. Being a comedy fan i see his influence in lots of comedy, but i loved the bits i have seen from “At Last The 1948 Show” and the classic Four Yorkshiremen sketch.

    RIP.
