I don’t know that they are gone, but I had heard they had stepped away from kickstarter until the tariffs problem is gone.

Not sure what that means for the outstanding kickstarters that have not been delivered.

Presumably they could ship to everyone except for america and make some money.

The lesson to be learned is don’t have everything made in china.

@grantinvanman it does tend to happen when you close a terminal. Be a little odd if ships were coming in to just turn around and go back wouldn’t it?

“NWSA spokesperson Melanie Stambaugh confirms to WSB that T-30 tenant SSA Marine “did announce toward the end of 2024 that they would be suspending operations at Terminal 30 due to their concern over increasingly unproven, over restrictive and costly water quality regulations. The existing cargo services will remain in the Seattle Harbor and be shifted to Terminal 18 and Terminal 5 for the foreseeable future.”

Here’s why the new year is bringing more cargo ships – and trucks – to West Seattle’s Terminal 5 and Harbor Island’s Terminal 18

If you look at the picture you posted it looks a lot like terminal 30 from Google Maps. The old man probably can’t see the whole complex from his apartment so his perception is that it’s completely gone. You should read the article in that paper, like all journalists it’s mostly clickbait and they bury the meat in the bottom.
“Whatever the decline turns out to be, it isn’t necessarily all tariff-related.
Other factors that could reduce container traffic in Puget Sound include congestion-related delays at the port of Vancouver, B.C., where many vessels stop before or after coming to Seattle and Tacoma, port officials says.
Longer term, the rise of larger container vessels is also lowering the number of sailings, as is the industry’s “alliance” strategy, where rivals share vessels to avoid half-full ships.”
