@noyjatat Thanks, I am finding that after 30 keeping a decent posture takes a bit more effort. Most of the bagged up stuff is painted, there’s at about half a dozen each repainted starships and guildball teams in there, probably 10ish painted underworlds warbands, at least 3000pts of Angels Encarmine and Scions, one and a half 100pt FoW armies. The problem is to find anything I’m looking for I need a shovel and a head torch. Still plenty in there that is yet to see a brush though.
June 30, 2020 at 9:00 pm #1545276I look at those of you with hobby space with envy, ever since we moved house I have had to put all my hobby stuff away, therefore here is my hobby space for paints and things being worked on.
June 30, 2020 at 9:39 pm #1545281June 30, 2020 at 10:11 pm #1545286@noyjatat thanks – no plans at the moment, hoping that when we get round to extending the house to replace the conservatory that I can find a more permanent space.
July 4, 2020 at 3:34 pm #1546587Got a couple of bags of stuff up on shelves. It’s mostly the the stuff that’s not moved in a while, although the underworlds might get pulled out when we get to go out to game again.
July 4, 2020 at 10:31 pm #1546740July 7, 2020 at 3:46 pm #1547805This is a nice idea – I don’t have a set painting space though after three years in this flat I really should have. I do have a hobby cupboard that is sorely in need of a tidy. It is the “quick someone is coming, dump it in here” cupboard at times 🙂 I’ll maybe get cracking on a wee tidy up this evening whilst listening to a podcast or something
July 7, 2020 at 3:56 pm #1547808@ninjilly that definitely qualifies, anything to help make you feel you can hobby a little easier is what we are looking for 😀
July 7, 2020 at 6:53 pm #1547860Alas my hobby space has fallen victim of COVID-19. I had to move my PC into the bedroom so I can work from home which meant my space in the dining room where I would do my hobby has been taken over by my wife and her laptop and piles of paperwork.
July 8, 2020 at 10:16 am #1548141@danlee still worth a now pic so that when you finally reclaim that area we can see it’s glorious transformation back to a place of hobby worship 🙂
July 16, 2020 at 7:15 pm #1550853Took a bit longer than expected to get to it but here we go.
Before:
Along the way I “discovered” that maybe I have a brush problem
After:
Also managed to fit all of my remaining unpainted minis into these two RUBs and the two wee boxes next to them. Everything else is being photographed to sell.:
July 16, 2020 at 8:58 pm #1550874@ninjilly, that looks awesome! You must be really pleased with how it looks now. Super work!!!
July 16, 2020 at 11:17 pm #1550917Thanks @noyjatat it does. A big chunk of it was recycling that I had kept because at some point I was absolutely going to turn it into terrain (why I thought I’d suddenly take up that side of the hobby when I don’t manage as much painting as I’d like, I have no idea). Thanks for the prompt to do it!
July 17, 2020 at 8:20 am #1550946Officially this is a workbench for manly things and stuff. Built a few weeks ago and not settled on a final layout yet.
In a side note, anyone got any recommendations for cost effective display solutions? I see lots of storage advice, but I’d like to have my models easy to look at as well as protected from my clumsy paws.
