Those plastic bags kind of remind me of the army men toys they sell in toy shops and dollar stores/pound lands/action/Lidl and the like.

I’d say the only downside of the bags is that there’s no real room to show off the painted miniatures themselves, but then you do get to see the sprues up close.

I haven’t seen anything Victrix in real life thoug, so that point is moot (not having any physical shops that sell non GW really sucks).

Storing them while they’re unbuilt is another potential issue. I guess that means I will have to assemble them when I get mine 😀

Next weekend is Easter, so I doubt I will get anything done then as that will likely include a visit to my sister and her kids.

I also have not seen Victrix in any local stores. Only at Hamburger Tactica some vendors where selling them.

If they ever make skellibobs I’ll be in trouble XD

My local shop has two racks of Victrix – and the hanging bags are cool, honestly. Easy to look through, it’s nice to see what the sprues are in actuality.

I’m painting five of the WW2 12mm infantry bags for Victrix right now, with two done; I don’t mind the bags, at all. And the art on the cardstock topper is usually enough to paint by, and fits nicely as a standee on the desk for reference. Advantages found!

Luckily their 12mm stuff requires an app that’s only on i-devices.

(and O-group was out of stock at their webshop too)

so I’m safe … (for now)

The box art on the Warlord boxes makes for cool art.
Hmm … maybe I should cut that out and put it in a frame of sorts ?

I’ve not been tempted by WWII yet but those Victrix look good.  I like their 12mm range too but fortunately I’m set on trying to get some other projects done at the moment.  To that end a pledge update:

    1. Get to the end of the OTT Salute coverage – DONE.  It turned out the mega video was the last thing and I watched that this morning in place of the XLBS
    2. Base the Draugr and pick a paint scheme – STILL WORKING.  I’m on to the warrior units now but I’ve not got enough bases of the type I need.  I’ve ordered some more from eBay.  Someone having a clear out so they took a couple of extra days to post but said they would chuck in any more they found.  Should be here before Easter weekend.
    3. Finish painting the first unit for the Bornu-Kanembu (12 Archers) – DONE.

Not a great photo so will take again in better light tomorrow before posting to the project.  How’s everyone else getting on?

    Good morning.

    Monday. Back at work. Meh!

Currently trying to make a diorama base for the not-LotR 10mm minis. Turns out: I’m crap at visualising things. It’ll be messy!

    On to more coffee!

Monday! Back to nicer weather after a snow storm on Saturday night, which was gross. All melted again. More forecasted later as temps do the usual Canadian spring rollercoaster.

Today I get to remove the shrubbery from our back patio area with a new beast of a hedge trimmer. I hope it is up to the task!

And of course painting today. And polishing the Harley starts in earnest.

    a shrubbery you say ?

Be careful there may be knights who wouldn’t want you to do that 😉

This is as much basing as I can do before the extra bases arrive:

Frustratingly I’ve still got the final unit of 8 to do.  I’ve been thinking about the colour scheme.  @grantinvanman I was inspired by your Spring Clean Project to consider doing them greyscale.  I may give their eyes a bit of an ice blue glowup after the greyscale is done.  Not sure – any thoughts anyone?

That is a lot of pointy sticks. Greyscale with blue eyes? Are these undead?

ooh … another big package from GamesQuest incoming tomorrow.

If that’s the rest of my Battletech (at 12 Kg … it may as well be) then I’m happy.

Not sure who is to blame for not having details within the various packages as to what should go where and how many of them I should expect, but hey … if it’s CGL I can’t blame QML/GQ

And I’ve got things from Scibor kickstarter incoming, so more big lovely resin minis 😀

Firelock have responded and are filing a complaint about my package going missing in transit for Port Royal. So that’s taken care of as well.

@ sundancer Yes these are undead.  Draugr – Viking Revenants.  I’m hoping the greyscale will work for undead.

OTT not doing too well tonight.  It was down for a while and then ate my project update so I’ll have another go tomorrow.

@zoidpinhead – greyscale with blue eyes would look awesome!
