The visit to the War museum at Overloon was fun.

The ‘D-Day Experience’ was a bit silly (you walk from one themed diorama to the next … a bit like the intro to Saving Private Ryan).
They do try to build up the drama, but that drama just evaporates when the people in front casually walk to the next part.
Best bit was the fake ride in a landing craft …
Worst part was exiting that landing craft with all the speed of a turtle.I also liked how they showed what WW2 was like from several points of view with semi-interactive movies, which included a someone who had joined the German army to fight the communists.
Anyways … I’ve seen a few tanks up close, which included two T-34’s, a Sherman and a Panther.
They also had a gigantic landing craft dating back to Vietnam, but the vast material was WW2 of course.
