Actually I find this interesting and exciting.  A return to the Old World with AoS rules maybe? An updated WHFB (because of the hint of square bases) ?  A mixture of both?

I would be happy with some continuation of the Old World. I did get frustrated with the 1 Minute Until Midnight thing, but my favorite models/themes come from there. I LOVE Ironbreakers, Iron Drakes, and Slayers. The Fireslayers are all right, but just are not the same as the old doom seeking kind.

nah they teased a 20mm square base yesterday, There are plenty of really nice 10mm fantasy manufacturers out there already, Pendraken and Copplestone Castings spring to mind.

Have they noticed that there is still a lot of live in rank and file games and that their models are still being used?

Or do they think that they will sell more if it is a rank and file game compared to AoS?

 

Because after the killing of WHFB and the complexity that WH40k was then, I have stopped following GW in detail.

The only games I still play from them is blood bowl and Adeptus Titanicus and I don’t buy white dwarf anymore either after the switching of that format.
