I really love this model. This is another commission I painted up for a client. He will be their character in a upcoming campaign. I was also told the campaign was going to be streamed. So it will be pretty cool for me to see some of my work on the stream. Hope you all enjoy.
November 18, 2018 at 1:19 pm #1303426Hey all 🙂
awesome work as ever on here;
@milmaa nice work on those space wolves.. I like their dark tone
@dawfydd looking good… always nice to see some beaky marines. Like the poses you’ve gone for
@tanath are they from the Game of Thrones range? Look cool. I like your basing
@dugthefug1644 sorry I know nothing about 40k rules and weapon allocation, but the mini you’re thinking of getting looks great and you should get regardless. ?
@chaosgorka that wolf look awesome. I think the basing lets it down a little though. Could maybe do with some pebbles or rocks?Love the dapper ork ? the green skin and purple accents contrast beautifully with the matt black suit. Good work
@evilstu always love seeing troops ranked up like this and yours look superb! Great work man ??
@laughingboy very nice! Some lovely painting there man. Particularly like your scenic pic with the gantry … very cool
@caledor2 nice job man. The robes came out great
@recon63 looking good. What are you thinking basing wise?As for me, I’m pleased to say I finished my diorama
Loads more pics on the project page
November 18, 2018 at 4:54 pm #1303506Fallschirmjäger 7.5cm Gebirgsjagerkanone 36.
Last piece for my Crete FJ. AB Figures crew with a Shellhole Scenics gun.
November 18, 2018 at 5:04 pm #1303508@brushstroke not sure about basing as I can never get the bases to do justice to the minis. As always mate your work is flawless, and brilliant !!
November 19, 2018 at 3:26 am #1303710Finished off the painting portion of the 4ground dwarf and got it matte varnished. Next up will be the base, eventually, and some proper shots from a little further away. Although the phone isn’t great for colour reproduction, largely because I never hold the miniature in the light the same way, it does give me closer shots than I would normally take so I can see all the various areas I might try to improve on. This one was the last bit currently of my experiment with a different faster painting technique, my next step will be to try and keep the speed increase (granted this isn’t a high bar to step over with me) while finding a way to make the transitions smoother in the first couple of steps so as to make the final glazing and detailing steps more efficient and get…well smoother transitions 🙂 I’ll be putting some of the intermediate pictures up in the project, hopefully sometime this evening, here https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1300263/
And in a shocking turn of events I actually managed to get the half squad of EDF heavies from Albedo not only assembled but zenith primed. I went with a black-grey as the base instead of pure black this time around to see if this might make the initial stages a little easier while keeping some of the advantages of bothering with pre-shading. I guess I’ll see.
November 19, 2018 at 6:28 am #1303777November 19, 2018 at 11:26 am #1303933So I painted another big person. Still needs varnished. Can some explain why he has a carriage clock strapped to his leg?
November 19, 2018 at 12:09 pm #1303944Finished two Dark Elf Witches. Started out as an experiment in skin tone.
Also working on another batch of old plastic High Elves.
November 19, 2018 at 3:46 pm #1304084And there done. These are probably the first and most likely the last I’ll ever paint. Still hate building plastic figures and can’t afford GW prices as these came from the conquest magazine I bought on a whim. They were nice to paint though
November 19, 2018 at 9:34 pm #1304325One more Mars Attacks miniature, from Mantic Games.
Troy. I pretty much kept the look from the box art, just added a couple purple highlights in the hair. Also, keeping with the theme of the character, I added some spilled soda and popcorn in the ground.
These things are tiny!
November 20, 2018 at 2:42 am #1304367November 20, 2018 at 8:01 am #1304438Managed to get the base colours on Boba Fett (for Star Wars Legion), sun night. As he always appears scuffed and scraped I think I need to do some chipping next.

Currently working on the antelope and Old/young surviver. 🙂
November 20, 2018 at 11:51 am #1304627The combat Priest….
Unfortunately, he appears to be doing a “Hey! how YOU doing ??” pose.
November 20, 2018 at 4:29 pm #1304741I managed to work a little bit more on my Namarti Reavers, but at best i had an hour of hobby time over the last few days … but thats at least an hour more than i had the weeks before … so i guess that a win 😉
you can see more of the progress on them over at my project for those: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1290927/#snav
November 20, 2018 at 6:12 pm #1304757@brushstroke thanks.
I love the Minotaur, I have that same one and I imagined the same type of look how you painted it.
November 20, 2018 at 9:22 pm #1304835One more, this time Eva.
These Mars Attacks minis are pretty small and the casts are not always the best, but the characters at least sure are fun to paint! Unfortunatelly no more painting for me till the weekend.
November 20, 2018 at 9:49 pm #1304870Here is my Star Wars Legion Commanders
