Freeblades: Creatures of Faelon From DGS Games Hits Kickstarter

June 22, 2015 by stvitusdancern

The 32mm fantasy skirmish warband game Freeblades from DGS Games, has hit Kickstarter and they are looking to people involved in their next project Creatures of Faelon, are what nightmares are made of.

The creatures they are trying to create with your help are the Saryad an more evil incarnation of a Dryads who has stolen enough hearts to transform into a even nastier baddie.

The Ventarx is a demon who is usually sent ahead to scout for the more powerful demons yet to arrive on the battlefield. While not the toughest creatures they are known to fly on the fringes and harass those weaker or more vulnerable and steal them away.

The Shalkarak  is a big and nasty serpent that can either crush a fighter or sink their huge fangs and impale their prey. These in combination with a Snake Mystic makes for a very unpleasant day of adventuring.

The Ar-Grush is a female Grush, who you really do not want to make them mad or threaten her young, this giant bear / porcupine combination of walking nastiness will make short order of even the most armoured of troops.

Lastly, we have the Mokruhl a ghastly specter - mind-bending apparition that loves to feed on those who show fear and distrust in others.

This creature can sense your weaknesses and feed upon them until that character is a mass of fear and doubt. The artist sketched do look inviting and I cannot wait to see the finished product.

DGS Games has a really great track record with their Kickstarter projects, as they have had three in the past and all were delivered on time. Freeblades is a really awesome game with a RPG element to it and as your characters advance in levels their dice get bigger.

I really like this game and I just wish I got more time to play it. Even if you don't play Freeblades (I think you should give it a try) the miniatures are nicely detailed and would fit nicely into any other fantasy game or RPG.

Are you brave enough to take on the Creaures of Faelon?
