A New Crew Comes To Freebooter’s Fate & A Pirate Squirrel!
November 11, 2024 by brennon
Freebooter Miniatures do some excellent miniatures for their pirate-based 28mm skirmish game, Freebooter's Fate and this latest set of releases are no different. A new Starter Box is available for you to snap up at the moment for Tianyu.
Jadesword // Freebooter's Fate
The Tianyu Starter Box comes with new travellers who are leading to Leonera. They are led by the daring swordswoman, Jadesword who comes backed up by her pistol-weilding specialist, Quian Yu.
Quian Yu // Freebooters Fate
Both of these miniatures look excellent and nail that look of classic Chinese-style travellers and adventures from all of your favourite Pulp Pirate properties. Jadesword is awesome but I think my favourite miniature is Quian Yu with that proper brace of pistols for making sure your enemy goes down in a hail of smoke and lead.
Haidao & Shisho // Freebooter's Fate
Both of these characters come backed up by Haidao & Shisho who are your Deckhands. Rules for these characters come in the new Tales Of Longfall supplement for the game and they work as a full crew at 235 Doubloons in-game. You will also get the character cards in the set for using them on the tabletop.
A Sneaky Mercenary
As well as the new Starter Box, you can also get a couple of new miniatures for the wider world of Freebooter's Fate. One such miniature is Shed-Lin who can work alongside all Crews in Freebooter's Fate.
Shed-Lin // Freebooter's Fate
This fellow is rather strange indeed. As you can see, he is a dashing Goblin fellow but has decided to try and disguise himself in thick furs. Drop him into the mix and use him to help even the odds! Those lead-weighted furry slippers (yes, those are his weapons of choice) are good for giving you a bruise or two AND he causes horror!
A Nuts Pirate?!
Last but not least, we have some additional pirates who will no doubt make Gerry very happy. We will keep him waiting for a bit though and first talk about Denis.
Denis // Freebooter's Fate
So Denis is awesome and all, swigging rum and generally making a nuisance of himself (with flaming liquor) but the real star of the show is the absolutely awesome Zimty who joins him on the ride.
Zimty // Freebooter's Fate
Zimty comes complete with a cutlass and a hooked hand but he also brings a bloomin' cannon into your games. That coconut-firing cannon is going to be excellent for clearing out enemies from objectives. It also helps that Zimty looks lovely as a miniature and should be something of a joy to paint.
You can pick up all of these new miniatures right now from Freebooter as a good start for the game or an addition to existing crews.
Will you be checking them out?

SQUIRREL!
Gerry?
Leshen?
Does ANYONE outside of Germany actually play this? It has always intrigued me, and Werner’s sculpts are top-drawer, but it has 0 presence on Youtube? I’ve never seen a game of it in the UK….
