Turn Your Frostgrave Soldiers Into The Undead

North Star have previewed some more of the options available to you as part of the Cultist Set which will be released alongside Thaw Of The Lich Lord later on this year in November for Frostgrave. This time around it's about how you can turn your soldiers into the living dead...
As you can see they have a variety of different heads and arm options which turn your soldiers from loyal warriors (as long as you have the gold) into mindless killers hungry for your flesh.
I really like the skeleton in the middle and the one wearing the horned helm. Are you tempted to raise your soldiers back from the dead with long forgotten lore?

Frostgrave going from strength to strength, awesome.
The customization with these kits seems really strong. A box of soldiers and cultists and you can have a truly unique warband. I intend to add some female heads from Statuesque miniatures as well when the time comes to delve into the ruins of Frostgrave!
Just what the doctor ordered!
Those will certainly serve Dungeon Saga as well as Frostgrave.

Hope the heads from Mantic’s zombies and ghouls scale with these as that is even more variety!
Should do – unless I’m mistaken the two guys on the left of the pic have a Mantic zombie and Ghoul head respectively (or at least the master sculpts were converted from them). 😉

Those look really good.
So far the only thing I can pick on is the lack of dedicated characters that are female all bar the sigilists and one apprentice summoner. Pity as the book of background stories features an equal amount of male female characters. If they do produce these however I really hope they remember its freezing in Frostgrave so dressed accordingly! Otherwise this is developing into an inspiring game.
You aren’t limited to using only the “official” minis. The “characters” don’t even have names; they aren’t even characters, they’re just archetypes. Game is made for making your own warband up and using whatever minis you have in your collection, so sayeth the rules. Add as many ladies as you like.

Cadfael – four of the original ten wizards are female: Sigilist, Illusionist, Elementalist, and Chronomaner. Still, underrepresented overall. I know for a fact that there will be a few female soldiers in the Thaw of the Lich Lord figures…

My local shop just got in the Frostgrave minis this week. One of the items was a bag of Mantic plastic undead sprues.
