Fantasy Flight Games continue to tease those of us who are into A Game Of Thrones: The Card Game with a look at some of the cards from the next cycle of Chapter Packs and Across The Seven Kingdoms. The War of the Five Kings continues the story after the death of Ned Stark where multiple factions are vying for control of the Iron Throne...

Across The Seven Kingdoms

It's time to take a proper look at some of the cards you'll be getting. Here is a selection of what's going to be on offer with a look at Viserys in particular who is quite the dangerous character (well, before he gets a full on crown of gold...)

Seven Kingdoms Card Fan

Viserys doesn't seem like a very dangerous chap but when you take into account his ability you have to be very wary. The fact that is a threat to the Kings of Westeros means that they all must oppose him. This means you're using your big character(s) to take him on and being drawn into challenges you'd rather not do.

In combination with his Dominance action he also becomes a problem as early game this means you can continue to build up a bank of power. As well as Viserys as someone standing to defend their honour we also have a different version of Robb.

Robb Stark

Robb ties into the addition of new Loyal characters for the Starks. His ability to raise his strength during Military challenges makes him a dangerous foe to face when you're working with a Fealty faction. I like that he also has the ability to remove someone from the challenge too.

While potentially not as masochistic as the other Robb Stark from the Core Set this version of him really ties into that feeling of a struggle against the Lannisters and power weighing heavy on his shoulders as he contemplates who he can trust and who he can't.

Overall the whole range has been very thematic and I can't wait to see where they go next...

What do you think?
