One of the big announcements from GAMA this year for Games Workshop and Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar has been the coming of Warcry, set to debut on tabletops this summer.

The Starter Set has been previewed in more detail in the trailer below, showing the clash between Chaos Warbands throughout the Mortal Realms.

This focuses us in on a special element of this game. It doesn't seem to be covering all of the different factions within the world of Age Of Sigmar but instead lets us experience the clash between the warring Chaos factions that are battling for supremacy and a place in the spotlight.

Each of your warbands is fighting to make their way to the fabled Varanspire, looking to perhaps claim daemonic blessings much like with the original Path To Glory? All of the miniatures included with this set and subsequent expansions for it look to be entirely new, giving us a new take on the kind of Warbands that dwell in the Mortal Realms.

The gameplay is meant to be quick and brutal (good) and focuses in on dynamic and cinematic clashes where your results carry over into campaign style games. I am very excited.

Forbidden Power Awaits

As well as the news about Warcry we also got a new teaser for what's happening with Forbidden Power, a new supplement and expansion to Age Of Sigmar proper.

It looks like things are going to be changing when it comes to Sigmar and his Stormcast Eternals.

New rules, new magical powers and of course narrative implications await in this new book and subsequent range of releases.

"Even A God May Regret What He Has Done"

Now that sounds like things are going to perhaps be spinning out of control for the forces of Order in the wake of Soul Wars.

Munchkin Backstabbing!

As well as those major announcements there was also a new collaboration between Steve Jackson Games and Games Workshop planned out for...you guessed it, Munchkin.

For those that love their casual games this sounds great and maybe it will even draw a few more people into the world of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. I can't wait to hear what jokes and such they put into the cards for this one.

What do you think of the new Mortal Realms GAMA news?
