Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D Starts This Friday (UK)!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D might have begun in America last night but it's going to be coming to the UK on Friday thanks to Channel 4. I'm very glad that we don't have to wait months for it to head over the channel!
The series takes place after the events of The Avengers Assemble and follows S.H.I.E.L.D as they do all the work behind the scenes while the other heroes are away. I think most people have been looking forwards to this one and the Marvel franchise is going from strength to strength of late.
Don't forget that Thor: The Dark World (the best of the Marvel heroes of course) is coming out towards the end of the year too in November. What will be interesting is seeing if any of the main characters from the franchise have cameos in the new show.
Of course with the Americans already having seen this episode it's best if you folks don't drop too many spoilers in the comments below but let us know if it was good! It's got Joss Whedon behind it so it SHOULD be good.
Are you looking forwards to watching it?
I am really, really looking forward to this. I’ve always found the “lower level” heroics in the Marvel universe much more interesting than the Galaxy-spanning stuff and you can’t get more low level than a bunch of guys in suits.
My fingers are crossed that this isn’t one of those Whedon shows that only really gets the appreciation it deserves years AFTER it gets cancelled..
can’t wait, still trying to work out how coulson is alive but i guess we’ll find out friday 🙂
Easy. Did you actually see him die? I’m betting Fury only said he had so that he could motivate the Avengers.
didn’t the medics say he was gone? may go back and re-watch it to double check.
Nope. Fury said that they’d “called it” but we the viewers never heard them say it.
Pays to have that extra few bucks paid, one of the channels i can receive in the Netherlands. Ill be watching this before Enterprise than.

..Not awesome…..but good…
The ending didn’t live up to the rest of the episode, but I think if you’re a Whedon or Marvel movie fan, you’ll enjoy it. There are some issues which I hope don’t become par for the course in style (eg: hacking a top secret gov’t agency computer using free wi-fi from the street) but it’s comic book-ish, I suppose. The weak point for me was everything about Chloe Bennet from the acting to the character. I’m sure a lot of people will really like her, though.
