Check Out the Barnaby Transport and Chargeur Engineering Gear!

Some Gears may be fast, but it pays to have a more efficient means of transport to get your amroured battle machines to the scene. So the Neoterran forces have their own versions of monster trucks for just that purpose... the Barnaby.
Hey... fuel is is just getting more expensive... who knows how much it'll be in the future!
Of course every battle field has its obstructions and fortifications to tackle... that's why you need engineers... but what about an Engineering Gear?
If you have (or do) play Heavy Gear: Arena, then you'll be all too aware of the Chargeur, but now that the NuCoal forces have defined its battlefield role defined and you'll soon be seeing more of them taking to the field... just don't get to close... they don't just break boulders!
All of these models are available right now from the Dream Pod 9 store, so if you're a Heavy Gear player, it might just be time to get an upgrade!

Having seen it earlier (Hey Andy, Sam ninja’d you this time!) I still say the Barnaby needs a wheel change but otherwise it’s a solid utilitarian look (and if you won’t put Gears in, you can always add Jawas, they could use a smaller vehicle in the same style for Star Wars skirmish gaming). The Chargeur is new to me though and it’s a win in my book – nice high-visibility cockpit, Aliens-style power loader arms, light autocannon for a bit of defensive punch at range – very cool. Of course, I was at Salute when the images came in, so I couldn’t post them until today. 🙁

The Barnaby looks like a skip with lego wheels. Not impressed by that at all. Could be the basic paint job but it’s definitely not one of the better designed pieces in the HG range.
By the way. That’s Terranovan. Not Neoterran. Their planet is Terra Nova, after all.
NeoTerra is kinda a generic name. Or the name of that PanO Planet in infinity.
The Barnaby is kinda eh. I would have much rather they modeled the awesome looking airborne gear transport aircraft for North and South instead. Or hell, a small Landship 😉
I still don’t like those Barnaby transports becouse of that boxiness. How ever those Chargeur engineering gears have rather nice design that fits they purpose.
