Hovering Firepower with the Fusilier in Heavy Gear

More tanks are bursting onto the scene for Heavy Gear from Dream Pod 9 and especially the NuCoal faction. Check out the latest of them in the Fusilier Light Hover Tank below...
The Fusilier burns ahead of your main formation to screen the advance while laying down some hefty firepower of its own. This tank packs a main Heavy Autocannon, a laser cannon and a battery of Medium Rockets or Anti-Gear Missiles as well as a guided mortar so you want to be avoiding this at all costs.
As you can see it weighs in pretty well against the likes of the Voltigeur Heavy Tank so you're not missing out on some seriously bulk. You can also change the tank to be a Hun Light Tank for the Humanist Alliance Protection forces if you so wished.
A nice kit, and who doesn't like a hovering battle tank in their army?
What do you make of this new tank?
At first I wondered why the NuCoal have two hovertanks and one tracked tank when they could all be hover-capable, then I remembered the Voltigeur is a fire support tank that hangs back so doesn’t need to be fast, while the others need speed. The NuCoal tanks have great definition of purpose because of this and I like how the sloped turret armour contrasts with the blockier body, a mix of tech levels that is typical of the NuCoal look.
With every new relaese I am liking NuCoal as faction more and more. This hover tank dosen’t fail me in that regard either.
That turret is pretty awesome. It’s a tank with a lot of attitude. I love the hover tanks as you can pose them dynamically with the flying stand and they kick all kinds of ass on the table. It’s supposed to be a fusion of CEF/PAK tech and Terra Nova tech and I think it’s pulled off beautifully.
