Looks to me like medical gauze with a very thin coat of plaster?
Personally I think I’ll use teddy bear fur. I know I’m being to silly. I still can’t get that Zulu box out of my head.
Forgive me Laser Dream Works for I have sinned by mentioning another companies product. Your boat looks handy even for some handy navel fights. I hope the side shields come with it.

Looks great for a SAGA game or maybe even be used by a “radier” army in a fantasy game… Everyone loves to pillage right?
