Infinity Mule Remotes – From Rearguard to Cybersphere

Let's take a look a Baggage Remote's more specialized support options, the EVO Repeater carrier for Hacking and the Total Reaction version that can be used to shoot down your enemies.
INFO-WARFARE RESOURCES
If you are a fan of Combat Hacking, the EVO Repeater is your ace in the hole. In the Infinity universe there are info-warfare EVO troops operating at a great distance from the battlefield, possibly even from planetary orbit, constantly monitoring the data flux coming from the battlefield and providing online support to the tactical combat Hackers deployed to the frontline.
The EVO Repeater is the device that allows EVO troops to enhance the tactical capacity of combat Hackers. Thanks to the EVO Repeater, combat Hackers get a significant increase to their in-game effectiveness.
Automatic programs provided by the EVO Repeater like Icebreaker (which halves target BTS) and Capture (allowing possession of a T.A.G. with a single successful roll) will make your Hackers more lethal than ever.
Collateral programs like Support Hacking (adding a Modifier of +3 to WIP for each extra Hacker who spends 1 Order) and the advantage of Hacking Guided Ammunition (which jams the Forward Observer mark placed over a target) can really save the day.
The EVO Repeater can be considered a bonus to Combat Hacking but, once you have tested it, you will find that the EVO Repeater option of mule Remotes is absolutely necessary when engaging in the info-warfare sphere of Infinity!
BARRAGE!
Mule Remotes can also be used directly in combat. The Total Reaction option, armed with a Combi Rifle, has been specially designed for security tasks. With this mule option you not only get your Baggage Remote, but also a nice rearguard defender.
While the Total Reaction HMG option of the classic Infinity Remotes can be used for protection and also for offensive tasks –thanks to its range and high Burst and Damage values- the mule’s Total Reaction option is better for close quarters protection.
The Short and Medium range Modifiers of the Combi Rifle are better than the HMG’s and make this Remote suitable for facing and beating any unexpected infiltrator, jump trooper or impersonator that might suddenly appear in your Deployment Zone.
Don’t forget the ARM value of mule Remotes is 2, higher than any other Remote. This means your Total Reaction mule can be launched into combat if needed, and if you hide it behind Partial Cover –getting the +3 Modifier to ARM- it will become a tough adversary your enemy will fear.
As you can see, the different versions of the Infinity robotic mules are all versatile support troops that will increase your victory options. Expand your tactical possibilities with them!

That’s some good advice about the remotes. Be it I’m Ariadna, not much choice for use.
I just so happen to have picked up a box for Haqq on BFriday. Cant wait to hack some fools.
I like the EVO Mulebot, it looks badass and at 13pts is a must if you are serious about hacking some tough high – BTS models such as Elite HI and TAGs. Can’t say that the Total Reaction drone is my favorite choice…I prefer to take the HMG variant with Monomines…the advantage of the Mulebot with TR is that it costs no SWC, just like PanO Pathfinder with Sensor. Tough choice – fast Drone with Sensor or a slower one with ARM2 and TR. Probably, depending on playstyle, defensive or attacking, people may opt for one or the other.
Just finished painting mine so i can use it, i got the Pano mulebots and painted them up in ALEPH colors (Never liked the tricycle) and they fit in perfectly with the rest of my force.
As i mostly play against Yujing and Nomands the EVO will be quite handy. 🙂
I always try to get an EVO repeater support when I have the points, but on recent games I see the baggage really pays off more than the rules would indicate.
In the campaing introduction video there are two remotes doing what it seems to be a new skill… What this could be???
I wish CA got some but that would be a bit tough with Morat and Shasvastii rules. Well then I’d at least like the hacking EVO repeater. I think all EI types should have this.
Total Reaction HMG – Bots seem pretty handy to me.
i love me some remotes my mule remotes are some of my favoret considering as a nomad player i distinctly dislike the quality of our bog standard remote.. seriously considering using some other armies remotes. hey we are nomads we can hijack and steal their remotes .. RIGHT?

the new yu jing baggage remotes are neat but they kind of remind me of buggs from starship troopers
i realise i can not hack and steal them .. i meant to proxy another armies remotes as nomads with my paint scheme … just serioulsy dislike the nomad standard (non baggage none tiskilon remote)
Buy someone elses remotes and paint them as nomad instead, i dont see the harm in that? (Even if i realy like the nomad remots)
I didnt like the the ALEPH ones so i bought the Pano ones and painted them as ALEPH, they fit in perfectly with the rest of my force.
Painting up some remotes for JSA now, but I haven’t used them yet. They don’t have the best hackers, so I’m not sure if adding an EVO repeater will be a waste of points or not. But I’ll give it a try when the models are done.
@pseudonym I was wondering the same thing, as you say best give it a try and see how it goes. Still with campaigns diversity will probably be a good thing.

I don’t like the yu jing baggage remote nor the attack remotes so I bought an aleph one in place of the baggage and a bulleteer instead fo the rui shi. Oh, and I “captured” a clockmaker with his armbots…he can take care of all these remotes I guess.
I never thought of using the total reaction as a counter to the impersonator skill. Oh my friend isn’t going to.like this
As an Ariadna player this kinda stuff makes me jealous.
