Kings of War has come on in leaps and bounds since its launch last year. Now Mantic has compiled all the rule changes and new ideas into a brand new version of the rules that you can pre-order now, from the Mantic HQ website.
The first 50 copies will be signed by the great man himself... Alessio Cavatore...
So you had better get you'r order in quickly if you want an early copy.

Good news: Pre ordered Rulebook last night for a fiver, have a good chance of getting a signed one.
Bad news: have to wait a month and a half for the rules to come out before I can play goblin goodness….
No because Alessio Cavatore signs things for fun. I swear unsigned copies of 7th edition Fantasy without Alessio’s signature are worth more than those with it, because they’re rarer!!! He signed my copy of Shuuro and I’ve only seen signed copies. lol. Lovely bloke and top man, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the new edition rules so I’ll be ordering it.
Does the rulebook really only cost $10 USD or is that just preorder cost, you have to pay the rest when its released?
Nope that’s the cost. Its a small booklet thingy, Mantic try to keep costs down.
Love the new army list too I have to say. Can’t wait to see more models.
Twilight kin look amazing don’t they. I’m also looking forward to seeing the new TK range of minis. KoW rules are making steady progress….The new nerve test mechanics introduced in the TK list looks pretty slick…
Can’t wait to start giving these guys all my money….wait….Mantic doesn’t cost that much…..3000 pts armies for 300$?….I’ll take 2 and it’ll still cost me less than GW!
So has mantic done away with the free pdf rules? I see the 2010 rules on the site rather than 2011 and no “2011 rules coming sep 26!” advertised anywhere.

Yep as I understand it the rules will still be available for download as a PDF. I think the rulebook is being brought out simply because fans asked for a proper little book they could carry around with them because carrying a load of PDF print outs around with you they get damaged very easily and you’re constantly having to re-print them. I think its a good thing they’re offering both solutions to gamers.
They don’t need to advitice the new download ahead of time like they do the printed booklet – I would guess we see a download around the same time
This is the natural progression of things. Mantic is doing a great job supporting their products. I for one look forward to this new rule book / army lists. I heard from Ronnie and gang @ Gen Con that the website is going to have a whole new tab for downloading items e.g. abbreviated rule sheets for quick reference for modifiers, nerve test, etc. This company seems to have a good grasp on assisting consumers in getting into the game and keeping interest high. I cannot sing their praises loud enough. Keep up the great work Mantic.
