Don’t Miss New 2025 Kings Of War Basileans From Mantic Games
May 12, 2025 by brennon
Mantic Games recently released their new-look Basileans for use in their 28mm Fantasy wargame, Kings of War. Leading the way are the Basilean Paladin Knights charging into battle on the back of their warhorses.
Basilean Paladin Knights // Kings of War
This is an updated hard plastic kit which comes with ten of these Paladin Knights resplendent in their glittering armour. They are a fearsome cavalry unit as the Paladins revel in combat and like nothing more than shedding the blood of Basilea's enemies.
New Army Sets
This then led to three new and updated Basilean Army sets that you can get your hands on if you'd like to get started with the Basileans in games of Kings of War. There is a new army for 2025, for example.
Basilean Army 2025 // Kings of War
This set features ten Basilean Paladin Footguard, thirty Basilean Men-At-Arms, five of the new hard plastic Basilean Paladin Knights, three Basilean Elohi and one Basilean Dictator. A solid set of heavily armoured warriors that will hold ground.
There is also the Mega Army, which comes with even more miniatures for you to support Basilean and crusades across Pannithor.
Basilean Mega Army 2025 // Kings of War
This set comes with twenty of the Basilean Paladin Footguard, forty Basilean Men-At-Arms, ten Basilean Paladin Knights, three Basilean Ogre Palace Guard and one Basilean Bearer of the Holy Icon. Capping things off, you also have the Basilean Paladin Chaplain. An impressive fighting force that you should be able to paint up quite quickly, I'd imagine, with all that metal.
There is also the Mega Bundle if you'd prefer to go all-in and get the Clash of Kings 2025 book and mini Kings of War Rulebook.
Bring Your Heroes Together
Lastly, you can also pick up the Basilean Heroes set if you were missing any of them.
Basilean Heroes // Kings of War
This set comes with four resin miniatures for the Basileans. You have the Abbess, Dictator, War Wizard and High Priest. Lay out your opponents at the end of a hammer for the good of Basilea! Will you be checking out the slightly reworked Basilean collection from Mantic Games as an entry point into Kings of War?

The minis look great but did they cut out the lion riders from the army?
No, they are just not for sale with these particular bundles.
Wonderful Knights. I hope they don’t just stop there. The paladins and the Sisterhood also need refreshes. More multi-pose options.
Having said that, refresh the the other older ranges first Mantic, like the fragile-elves and the flat-top dwarves. Make the dwarves like the Vanguard ones and watch them sell like hot cross buns.
Do this before launching new original armies.
