A linked game with Dropfleet!
Actions in both affecting each other in real time!
Resolving the Dropfleet ground actions in a larger scale I see.
Finally some details how the rules link together. I see some really good campaign opportunities.
Linked games are the best! Used to do these with Battletech and Battlespace
@wizardv12222, I was only ever allowed use a WarShip once for support fire in BattleTech. I took out almost as many of my own guys as I did of theirs, but apprarently that’s not good enough.
But that’s what makes it the best! We even had a deep strike drop, and only one mech scattered, landed wrong and fell, went critical and hit his MG ammo… no CASE. it was epic!
@wesadie1969 said it – this will be some strategically critical location and the ground combat will be resolved using DZC instead of the DFC dice rolls.
If Justin’s PHR Banana Republic are involved, there will be a lot of yellow on the table. Maybe this will turn into a free for all 🙂
More like a linked battle. We experimented over here with the “ground actions played in Dropzone” method, but in all cases, that single dropfleet mach generated so much dropzone ones, it dragged through the whole day. Never again.
That looks amazing. If you had it at home you would never want to put it away
a large resolution of ground asset combat looks like fun
Linked battle, looks awesome. Extremely jealous
linked game i’ll be interested to see how it goes
Dropzone commander is what got me back into tabletop gaming. Always happy to see a board laid out like that 🙂
ok this is definetly going to take a loooong time but resolving ground combat like this is fantastic!
is there a rule to play at different points? i mean… if i drop 2 or more units and i attack a sector with 1
Linked battle with maybe some surprise upcoming goodings to show off?
Will be very interesting to see how linked the game will impact either way.
I am sure it will be a linked game. I just don’t know how you are going to connect it to all the games of Dropfleet Commander being played.
Awesome linked games!
I’m guessing this is the (ground) battle for control after the gigantic (and as of yet unnamed?) space station is destroyed ?.
I’m really looking forward to linking my games of dropzone with dropfleet
I really like the idea of linked campaigns. No idea if it’d actually work for my friends and I around our lives though.
That’/s a gorgeous table setup!
Looking forward to this awesome campaign. This is goingto be an cool way to spend a day in the Dropzone/Fleet universe.
Did Hawk bring their in scale 10mm ship with them? Are they having a ground based assault timed with a dropfleet game?
So, this will turn into a Bootcamp week now 😉
Once the new year hits I’m hoping to get some ground assets to add to my 2 player starter set of Dropzone. Does this link in well? because if only one person is dropping assets onto the planet that’s going to be pretty grizzly when the other person finally gets boots on the ground
If it is what I think it is AWESOME !!!
Having to play 2 tactiles games at once using a grand strategy
