Now all we need is a flamethrower and we are set.

Panther II is still better.

Also, how many points are the weekender armies aimed at?
Cause I bought the US armoured fist box made a 500 point list with it.

And then put in a M26 Pershing to quickly close the distance towards the 1000 points.
At this point I called it 9th armoured division nearing the bridge at Remagen, even though I selected everything at regular.

A question for Cavatore, why, when firing say a mortar at a target group, that also happens to be in close proximity to other groups, is it that if the shot is a miss, no account of where the shot lands is considered? Could this not then potentially hit one of the other non-targeted, but close by groups, ie scatter?

Panther is a pretty tank. Doesn’t look like it belongs in the same war as a lot of the armor that preceded it, on either side.

I want to get into Bolt Action and want to play the Waffen SS. I mostly like to play the bad guys, and no one screams bad guy like a bunch of fanatics in Hugo Boss uniforms being supported by a Panther.

Some good tips there from Alessio. Played my first game of BA this week and playing waffen, i took a lot of punishment from HE and an airstrike finished me off. Next time i’ll be sure to focus on the air observer !

I’m going to be expanding my generic German force soon again. This time I was thinking of going a more themed platoon. Either Waffen SS or a Defence of Berlin force.

The big cat is nice whoever built it – you guys seem to really be going for it with the production of models. Keep it up!

The Panther is my second favorite tank, right after the T-34.

Nice choice, the Panther is a beauty. However, the T-34 has everything (apart from trained crew, radios, etc, etc). Personal bit on the side – SU-152!

I’m loving the Waffen-SS. Just finished painting a box of them myself with mixed autumn/summer oak leak camo. Nice strong sculpts, an absolute joy to paint!

Actually the Germans did fit a flame thrower on the Panther . They added a dozen or so of the one shot Einstossflammenwerfer 46 weapons on the rear of the tank .They were fired by means of pull cables , sort of like bike hand brake cables . The idea was to drive over trenches and wood bunkers and burn out the enemy . This was also test fitted to a Stug III . There was an article with pictures on the Missing-lynx, com site a while ( 6 months ? ) ago .

Ah the Waffen SS, small and elite, nice choice for a boot camp I think. Not a lot pressure on the modeling side and when it comes to gaming it’s going to help to have fewer units to focus on, so hopefully easier to get a strategy and stick to it.

So many German troops. So many lists. So many tatics. So many paintjobs. Looking forward to see which one comes ontop.

Another elite force with few troops but hard as nails. Not a great sympathiser with the real Waffen SS but as an army in the game they don’t need a lot of expenditure or time to get table ready but they will take along time for an opponent to take off the table.
