Quick Painting With Bob Talking Scylla & Alven Yard

Justin sits down with Bob to talk about some of the hobby opportunities afforded by picking up both the Scylla and The Alven Yard as his factions of choice.

How would you approach painting these factions when it came to these factions?

This weekend just might get me to take the plunge

I’d love to set aside a weekend like this with a few mates and pick up a new system. I thin I’d be inclined to focus on getting things painted, with just a few games to get my head around the rules.

If I get to another book camp I will definitely go for more gaming and less painting, because I can paint at my leisure at home, but learning rules and finding opponents is not always that easy.

I wonder if Bob’s idea of quick shading to get the models down and painting later will work. Would you need to prime them again, or could you use the quick shade as a preshade nod do color washes over the top?

I can’t play with my minis unpainted, doesn’t matter how my opponents are done but mine always have to be.

You should bring bob back when he’s done and feature his minis.
