One of the things we've heard from all of the folks here at the Boot Camp is how cinematic the games are feeling right now with ships exploding left, right and centre, and guns blasting through armour as bits of ship float off into space.
The game really does come to life through its mechanics and it seems like everyone is having bouts of both good and bad luck!

Could you give us some insights on the role of the space stations?
@badula, depending on the scenario, Space Stations are either objectives that need to be captured just like clusters on the surface, or critical locations where you need to have more tonnage of ships nearby than your enemy to score points – or both (or neither, of course). They can be armed, in which case they have a selection of close action, standard guns and burn-through lasers, and they have a stat line just like a ship’s, so they have a signature rating, point defence and so on. I could definitely get into this. Thanks for putting up the info and covering this new game. Hopefully it’ll make more of a splash locally for me than Halo Fleet Battles (which I also got into) did.
This just makes me wish I had my fleet assembled and could go play now.
The fact that when a ship explodes it can cause a massive chain reaction mid to late game just seems exciting and terrifying at the same time.

That spacestation looks like is has some problems if the UCM Cruiser really want to go for it.
The more I see of the minis in this the more I wonder how Dave from Hawk has any kind of life outside his studio … the detail on each model is crazy. Most anyone else would have just made the space station a card on the table, but he made them come to life.
I was thinking it was great to see females at these Boot Camps ; that are not staff.

Depends on the ship and order
So what is the Faction Player lay out? Seems UCM is the most played faction at the boot camp. I expected to see more PHR but I was wrong…
