Dropfleet/Dropzone Linked Game – Justin’s Game Over + The Battle Continues Below!

The big game is coming to a close. Justin has finished his game and we see what impact this is going to have on the other table where Rasmus and Rob are still battling it out on the tabletop below the orbital melee going on above.

Orbital Debris… that would be a good link.. like the closer to the city the ship died the higher chance it would crash on table…

I wonder how vicious the orbital debris are to ground units. need to see that rulebook

The Banana Republic Fleet triumphed! Well done Justin. Pokemon was an unauspicious icon for your force, hence the destruction of that ship 🙂

Imagine that you are fighting the Scourge, ducking in and out of buildings, securing the objectives and holding out under the weight of fire thinking, “at least it can’t get any worse.” Then you are suddenly crushed to death by Pikachu.

Well, shooting down a cruiser of that size, let alone a battleship, above a city cluster would trigger apocalyptic scenes on the ground. That mass of hardened armour would not simply burn up in atmosphere, but shower the whole landscape with flaming debris, possibly setting ablaze the whole countryside. I’m thinking about scenes form Gundam SEED Destiny, on a bit of a smaller scale, still frightening to think of.

Hopefully the falling debris kills a few of those stubbornly healthy buildings

Crashing cruisers and orbital lasers everywhere!

Now all they need is a giant inflatable banana (to scale) to knock down a few buildings.

Hmmm wonder if those misses should have taken out buildings. Might have made the fight quicker.

I once ran a similar thing with Battle Fleet Gothic and Warhammer 40k that was a lot of fun too.
