Fabled Realms Spot Prizes!

Sam talks with Ben about some of the spot prizes that were given away towards the end of the day yesterday. Folks got to win some very nice goodies and that helps them build a bigger pool of models throughout the campaign event and beyond.

Which model is your favourite from the selection?

Excelent example of how to convert your wife to wargaming.

i have found that women in the hobby tend to be very good at it

I do think that women are much more vicious at wargames than men can be. My wife can be really brute in some games. Well done all winners. 10/10 to the guy from the US, bringing his wife. Nice work sir.

Told my wife about the brave guy from the US. She said “Wow, brave man”. Then I told her his wife had beaten him… the laugh was terrifying. 😛

Big well done to all the winners. Ive been trying to get my wife inti the hobby for so long. Im hoping with the smaller scale and the abundance of women minis this may bring her around.

I keep trying to get the better half involved. She’s not having any of it! I’m starting with board games and then intend to steer her towards Wargaming. I’m also getting the kids involved so as to out number her and make her feel obliged to join in.

Great to see the ladies enjoying themselves makes a nice change rather than seeing warhammer widows reading their books not at all amused next to the refreshments.

i envy their other halves as i tried for years to get a glimmer of interest from my wife but all i got was “its not Totenham.and football” pretty much explains why i got a jack Russell at least he comes gaming with me both to local club and store lol

A reward for a pyrrhic victory? Finally, vindication that a double-ko is still a win for somebody!

I really need to get the wife involved in a miniature game. She already plays Dungeons and Dragons, so its not that far of a stretch.

Here is another way to refer to a retreat. We in the U.S. Army refer to it as Retrograde!

The holiday plan was great, and showed baldric levels of cunning…. but like all of baldric’s plans backfired when the wife dstroyed him on the tabletop ! Lol so far it looks to have been a fantastic weekend.

Insert video of Monty Python’s “Run away! Run away!”

I like Ben’s point about fighting for something, not just killing to kill. It makes the wargame believable and relatable. I think that’s the biggest plus about this game.

Congrats to all winners.

Oh that hurts when your character dies after you killed theirs.
Woman in wargaming, be aware.

It’s really satisfying when you take down the enemy with you though!

Pretty funny how the husband surprised his wife with the reason for the trip to Ireland and she ended up whooping him. LOL! Glad they are all having fun.

A cool looking armored skeleton riding along side a dog? Nine Lives is the name of the company.

I always enjoy seeing these company reward folks for carving out the time to play these games. Being there is a bit of reward, but the little extra’s make it just that much more exciting.

OMG i’ve just got the best idea, why not put the mic on a stick, so sam does not have to stand like lady liberty all day

I couldn’t imagine telling my wife let’s go on vacation and then adding her to spend pay off that trip gaming all day. Good luck!
