Feature Tables - Lukasz Table Tactics & Design Chat

We take a look at some of the tables that we set up here for the Boot Camp and discuss them tactically with Lukasz to get an idea of how they play, and what you should consider when it comes to building tables yourself.

Wolsung is a game of deep narrative and so you want to tell a story with your tabletops AND you want to include some great ways to create cinematic events too. Height and close proximity battles are key!

I am confused, then again I do not have the rules in front of me either. Can’t you have a sniper, even if not deployed initially on top of a tall building, walk up to the top of the building going through the floors and the going on top and playing an overwatch role? While I am certain he will not have LOS of certain figures, he could pin down characters so they cannot move.

You do get some very nice tables with games like this. I’d be concerned about storage of it all at home though, once assembled and painted.

My concern is the amount of setup required for a game that usually only lasts three rounds. Maybe some semi-permanent setup might be a quicker way to go where you’re only really spreading out some scatter terrain before you get into it.

Those buildings look like they are some kind of very thick cardboard stock that could be put together and taken apart very fast and easy, for easy storage?

Micro Arts buildings for this game look awesome on the tables. I think you guys did an awesome job on the table layouts.

Buildings look great to me, and I love that news stand, but I just don’t have room anymore for more scenery unless I sell off some that I already have!

Not only can you tell an amazing story with the characters, but the table itself becomes a character as well. The adventures are greatly enhanced by not only the buildings, but the scatter terrain such as the news stand. This makes a game that is not only enjoyable to play, but a wonderful spectacle of excitement to watch as a spectator.

with such an awesome terrain pieces, it`s missing some good cobble stone flooring, real floor not just a matt, it will bring those tables to life.

Tables and Buildings are lovely. what a shame one table wasn’t painted, guess then it wouldn’t look as good as it does.

Looks like you need a lot of terrain to play the game. It looks good though!

The terrain and tables for me are one of the most important parts of a game for me.

I love those big warehouses and the idea of guys sprinting through the buildings to acheive their aim. It makes it really cinematic.

I love the scatter terrain too, especially all the crates and things.

My club would love this stuff, i cant see somethig like this ever going away.

Well done , but could not then have a raid on a multi store building then clearing floor by floor.

I think this is an example of where the play mats can really make a table – I’ve been sceptical until now, but seeing these tables, it’s something I’ll think about seriously.

I like the verticality of the tables, levels give snipers so much more to do.
