Games Workshop have brought all their games with them to Essen Spiel and take us through some of the activities people can take part in at their stand.

As well as their main, tabletop games, Games workshop have three board games on display. Heading out for wide retail release in Germany and America, these games let you play on the fields of Blood Bowl, fight Necrons as a Space Marine, or evade the eye of Sauron in a quest for the One Ring.

I think a painboy needs to pay you a visit and fix those eyes of yours 😉
There’s a bunch of red Orks in the Bloodbowl game in those pictures.

Like the idea of Space Marine Adventures – could be like playing out a chapter or two from a Black Library novel – with a squad of Space Marines going through a very specific environment.

Actually, why haven’t GW done this before? What about a boxed game featuring Talos and the other First Claw Night Lords from “Soul Hunter” going on a raiding mission to get supplies or recruit key personnel? How about Grimaldus and his Black Templars hunting the Ork Techboy in the crashed space ship from Helsreach?

they kind of did something similar with ‘patrol’ (?) which had a squad of scouts try and survive.
And we shouldn’t forget Spacehulk. It had a campaign mode of sorts IIRC

this is clever way to get more people into the hobby – with this compact Quest of Mount Doom or the The Space Marines Adventures….

I really wish they’d release those three games in the UK, as I’d get all three of them.

That Space marine Adventures looks incredibly basic and lacklustre.

Justin asking those minute details at :250 lol! Only a TT gamer would ask such details, kinda snuck those in there with his admiration, very sneaky.
