Going 6mm With Baccus And Their Historical Ranges

We stop in with the guys at Baccus and talk about their small 6mm armies and what they've been tinkering with lately. Make sure to drop your thoughts down in the comments below.

Do you like these smaller scale armies as your preferred way of gaming on the tabletop?

I have just find out the beauty of 6mm wargaming with Horizon Wars, but we are looking for 6mm historical project! And Baccus is our target 😉

My first introduction to miniature gaming was 6mm WW2 tanks using the old Tractics rules by TSR. Everything else looks odd to me by comparison. Love these minis!

I’m sorry, it’s great to see a full table of this stuff, but my eyes are bad enough. I’d go blind.

Gosh they are so small. I very quickly looked at these yesterday but avoided quickly as I dont need to go that small. I think theyre very cool though and being able to move that many troops around on the table is amazing.

My eyes bleed and my hands cramp up thinking about painting those little guys.

Some games look best when played with masses of troops on the battlefield, like ancients, medieval, Napoleonic and such like, and 6mm is good to achieve both the look and the feel of these periods.
But there are even smaller ones: 2mm. Nice to paint their faces 🙂 .
Pity there is no retailer in my country, who sells the baccus stuff.

I have a plethora of 6mm Baccus forces, and I must say they are really forgiving to paint. A two tone / colour paintscheme works wonders on them and it all looks so impressive with rank on rank of troops
