Modelling With The Boot Campers: The British Part Two!

Per has also been working on the British 8th Army, working on turning them into the Commonwealth forces sent over from New Zealand.

Everyone is really impressed by the new Bolt Action plastics and it is interesting to see the variety in approaches people are taking to their armies.

The Maoris were famous for running around with a captured Flak36 (88mm) and shooting at the Germans with it (in contravention of official policy).

sounds ace! I’m sure I remember reading somewhere that New Zealand troops would sometimes take liberties with the uniform regulations for fear of being mistaken to be Australians haha

Excited to see what the guys can make from these, so many nationalities in one conflict you really are spoilt for choice.

I really like to see the more obscure troops getting some attention. It’s far more interesting than the plain vanilla forces.

I too know nothing of New Zealanders being part of WWII. It is really great how this hobby teaches as well as entertains.

It’s fascinating how the various nations came together in different ways – I just imagine lorries full of British uniforms dispensing gear left right and centre.

Glad to hear they have moved away from floating weapon syndrome. Separate weapons is a nice idea, but its a pain to work with some times.

So many people, so many ideas. Still, no one made a Greek formation, and very recently I learnt the Greek had troops in Africa, mainly equipped with British arms, uniforms and stuff. Hellas!

From early looks they look a step up from the Normandy Brits. Good work Warlord.
