Our Lovely Display Table!

One of the things we always try and do is put together a display board. In this case we took one of the mats from Deep-Cut Studio and then whacked Warren's massive Space Station on top of it.

You can see some of the ships floating around this mighty space station here in the images below. The question is, what kind of game are we going to put together featuring this?

What would you plan?

The colours on the mat are amazing. I can see now why the price them as they do.

The mat is nicely done but can’t help thinking it’s too bright and distracts from the models

The camera add to the brightness

Is that massive space station just from one station box set???? If if is that’s massive value.

@chrisgear84 – no it’s not… It’s a great box set, but that’s quite a few of them together!

so many companies have come out with these kinds of mats, there is to much choice, I wish beasts of war would do a comparison of them all…. ALL. ;P

The mats are nice but you should take a bow for that space station – Hawk for the kit and BoW for the execution!

These mats are absolutely beautiful! How about throwing some in for the winners? 🙂

And for the scenario:
If the space station survives your “Pearl Harbor”. Maybe put the 4 “earth”-like (Orbital Earth) mats together and make a big planetfall?
The UCM wants to have their ancestors homes back!

* I don’t know if @dignity or @johnlyons will see this, but when I watched Warrens space station get placed on the first iteration of its base, sitting on an angle. I thought, GUNDAM!

It’s the plunging of a colony into Earth’s atmosphere and it’s up to the players to stop it!

That space station looks amazing! I can see some sort of game that involved more and more ships launching from the station over time, forcing the attacking player to race against time before they get overwhelmed!

While more of a fan for playing this in space (for visuals) I am starting to come around to the above planet look of the game. Make for a very busy looking table but those mats are awesome.

@carabus And more importantly it give you objectives to fight over, there is a lot of interaction with the ground elements in the game
