Horses were used much more in WW2 than people often realize.
whoa! 🙂
They have some good mounted SS figures as well ;).
I bet I the Germans could smell them as they approached… :S
I assume the horse counts as an extra attack during a charge?
I’m sure it seemed like a good idea at the time :p
Would be interesting to see how they play
For the motherland.
Cavalry are excellent in BA. Quick and brutal in assaults they also get to use the recce special rules which makes them very hard to shoot at. You also have got to love the Tachanka, basically an MMG firing backwards off of a horse drawn wagon… amazing.
The Russians used a lot of cavalry, particularly after the initial German invasion. The Germans captured a great deal of the Soviet’s vehicles in the early stages of the war so the Russians had little choice.
All that horse meat and no pasta sauce
Those are cossacks aren’t they? Can you take them for Germans?
A lot of cossacks fought against the red army as collaborators.
They are Cossacks and will be painted up as one of the ‘families’ that fought for the soviets all the way through the war…

The cavalry adds a great element to the game for sure.
I can’t imagine the crazy you need to have in order to mount a charge on horseback against tanks
The Charge Of The Light Brigade by Alfred, Lord Tennyson Memorializing Events in the Battle of Balaclava, October 25, 1854 Written 1854 Half a league half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death Rode the six hundred: ‘Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns’ he said: Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. ‘Forward, the Light Brigade!’ Was there a man dismay’d ? Not tho’ the soldier knew Some one had blunder’d: Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do & die, Into the valley of… Read more »
Is this wise, when you take in account the cow and pig in earlier pictures…best luck in battle.
At least they’re better than 40K rough riders…
Neigh way said the horse!
Russians!
Great cavalry charge!
Wonder if the Greeks get horses?
Need a lot of cavalry against machine guns
