Table Top Meets Tech In Lightseekers Game

Dawn had a look at an exciting new game called Lightseekers. Lightseekers combines video gaming with tabletop and card gaming. You can play the game strictly in the app, strictly on the tabletop or as a hybrid of the two.

Probably the coolest aspect of this is the interactive figures that can be used in the game. You see them come to life in the game and they have interchangeable parts so you can switch their weapons and accessories.

The changes you make to your figure are recognized real time in the games.

Reminds me a little of the skylanders games.

Very innovative. I don’t know whether this is the game that marries tabletop and tech, but it’s very cool.

Looks like evolution of the Disney Infinity Play Sets.

The tech looks pretty solid already, cool. The barely restrained collector in me is piqued.

My boys would not leave this stand alone, we now have the game installed on my iPad and phone and own 2 starter card sets, boosters, t-shirt and posters.

Here we are on the third and final day. It’s been a long weekend but for anyone who attended apparently a fun one. However, since it is the final day then it’s my last chance to shamelessly post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve ever played.

Now that Disney infinity is over, I might check this out to play with my kids.

Its interesting and clever, but how much of it is actually just gimic, or just a means of selling extra tat?
