Tale Of Four Gamers: US - Thoughts At The End?

We're now meeting up with our US players to see if they can hold the line against a relentless Soviet advance.

Would you have chosen US or Soviets after hearing the players thoughts?

Sounds like overall was a good experience for everyone. Fast games always help as well for those just getting into wargames

Will there be West and East Germany forces in the future?

just West German from what we were told. Also as the East Germans are part of the USSR and used the same gear (as far as I know).

Brits and West Germans to follow

American Forces all the way! But I’ll get the Soviets too as my wife will need an army to face me with.

I’d have chosen the USA but I’d like to know the release schedule going forwards too

Tough choice! Which is really good, would like to try out how both parties play, but it seems like your players really enjoyed themselves.

Great game, army choice can be a tough decision, leaning toward the U S, cant wait until fixed wing aircraft are released

Glad the Russians held out, it would have meant millions in costs for dictator Lloyd if he had to change all his labelling/marketing from aubergine to eggplant! Hail Lloyd! Hail Lloydaslavia!

Normally when trying to choose between Americans and Soviets I’d go for Soviets, but the Warthog makes the decision a lot harder 😉

Not to surprised even with the M1 Abrams being superior to the T-72 numbers can easily make up for that. So sounds like US has to be more tactical and reposition a lot to reduce Soviet numbers.

I do like how it sounds like Team Yankee is proving to be tactical. Until you learn your army and use terrain to your advantage you are a lot more vulnerable during the game. Interesting to hear from both sides that they came to this same conclusion.

From the last two videos it sounds a bit like this game is a lot more luck based, because the weapons are so powerfull. So basically, whoever shots first and has the luck on his or her side wins. And since the Russians have more models on the field they usually win. That’s just how those interviews sounded to me.

the game will be more difficult to predict as more/different units are added I think.
