Talking Dark Op’s Dropfleet Dashboard With Tanya

We see how Tanya has been getting on with the Dark Op's Dashboard. It was a bit of a fiddle getting all the things ready but when they're done they look awesome!

The bases do look very nice as does the painted dashboard!

Interesting, but think I’d need to see them in person to make my mind up.

I know it is a cocept piece and it looks interesting and it is new stuffs which is always good. but I wish there was more than 1 , so they could be peppered through say 1/4 of all players and be circulated through out all players.

That does look pretty cool, would love to see the Scourge one when it appears.

Nice to see that it works so easily. Interesting idea with etching it into the base, maybe other routes to go down though are painting it onto the ships themselves like a lot of 4TK players do with Imperial Guard tanks especially.

Hmmmm, how easy is it for your opponent to see spikes/status effects if it’s all on a dashboard over 4ft away? Do the little coloured discs slide up and down the clear shaft (easy now!) to at least display orbital layer?

Looks a great idea. And who doesn’t love a bit more gadgetry on the table?

a way to number the bases would help a ton as long as you could move them around, same ship might not be 4 in every game. Ship naming is kind of hit and miss as if you magnetize them, it would change type.

I’m not sold on this. Hawk Games obviously put a lot of thought into the design of these bases and looking at some of the painted ones in the boot camp they just fit so well into the aesthetics of the ships when displayed as a whole. The console just seems to separate the whole idea of representing the actions and status of individual ships outside of the game and relegates it to the sidelines. Much better to look at the individual ships on the table and instantly see what is happening than trying to peer over to your opponents array on the console. Great boot camp by the way in helping to get to grips with the game.

I like the idea of the dash and using the Hawk bases on those. Finding the wound counting fiddly on Hawk bases when a ship is mounted. However, your opponent needs a fair view of what’s happening too so more info needs to be on the replacement ship base.
Firstly the clear base helps with the aesthetic. I can’t see it but I presume the arcs are etched in?
Rather than etching names etc you can always use wipeable pens.
It would be helpful to have tokens to show altitude and spike levels.
