Talking Drop Beasts With Rob, Chris & Rasmus!

Drop Beasts is our epic team of Admirals who are playing in competitions for both Dropzone Commander and Dropfleet Commander at Hawk Wargames’ tournaments and further abroad too.

If you’re interested in getting involved message commodorerob with your details and maybe you’ll get a rather epic t-shirt too!

I’ve done a few tournaments (proudly mid table each time) and they’re a great laugh. Not sure how I’d react to anyone taking them too seriously. Hopefully those folk don’t go to Hawk’s tournaments.

Always nice when the guy that lost gets a prize. It is good to see they are keeping it going even though they don’t seem to be having much success, yet. Look at it like an esports team, practice, practice, practice.

Oh….Oh…if I were physically able to travel, you guys would have another player in a heart beat. Dropfleet Commander looks like such a blast to play. The cinematic moments that can be had are priceless…

I would love to join up with you guys for the first dropfleet tournament but with the amount of practice I’m able to get in all I’d offer to the team would be someone to prop up the league table. Great idea though, love the logo, look forward to hearing of your successes in future articles etc.

@archangelvernon – that would put you in the same boat as several other of the team. Really, truly, if you’re interested you should just come along and join in. The games are simple enough for you to fumble your way through even if you’ve never played before, and in all the Hawk-sponsored tournaments I’ve been to there have been players who’ve never played a game before. Just do it!

When I finally get my game, and if there will develop a local community, I would be interested in joining. and those dice bags are rather shiny.

With the heading I thought it was going to be a reveal of the beasts in Dropzone Commander.

@commodorerob I am fully intending to come to Spring Invasion 2017. There’s going to be some serious competition for the wooden spoon!

I don’t suppose a game of Dropfleet Commander at the pub, where your ships are little sausage rolls, biscuits, hard boiled eggs and the like. And when they get destroyed the controller player takes a drink and the attacker gets to eat the ship?

Might be best (or BEAST… I’ll let myself out..) on an empty stomach!
