The Silver Bayonet Releases & Undaunted From Osprey Games (Comment To Win!)

We catch up with the team from Osprey Games and talk about what they have been doing recently. The Silver Bayonet has just been released this weekend and a new expansion for Undaunted is on the cards.

Comment To Win! Frostgrave Bundle & Undaunted Bundle

There is some great stuff in the pipeline from Osprey Games too. If you’re into your wargames/miniatures games or board games, they have something for you.

What I really love about Osprey is that they have faith in the quality of their games.

There is no FOMO limited releases, power creep forcing people to buy new units to stay competitive, or endless erratta.

They just release quality play tested games at a reasonable price, and have faith that people will value and appreciate that and stay long-term customers. It’s how all gaming companies should roll.

Seeing all that stuff… my wallet is really glad I’m not there… *sigh*

I believe this would be a great skirmish game. Muskets, wooden stakes and werewolves. What could be better and the choice of miniatures is unbelievable, with all the ranges to choose from.

My copy of Silver Bayonet arrived on Thursday. The rules are very much in the same vein as Stargrave, Frostgrave and Rangers, but with a few nice tweaks like replacing the d20 with 2d10s and having a pool of fate dice for re-rolls. Really looking forward to getting it onto the table.

Osprey Games are producing some really great stuff.

I have their ‘Silver Bayonet’ and really love their Urban-Magic/Paranormal RPG of ‘Sigils and Shadows’. Creating some awesome “Paranormal Investigator find out $h(t is real” type adventures.

So many great titles from Osprey Games!

I never used to care about Osprey, but authors like Joe have really raised their appeal for me. One day I’d like to lose myself in one of his games.

I did, and now I can’t wait to get the Silver bayonet… The worst thing is that GB is no longer in EU so I have to pay customs and tax when I order from NorthStar…

Yeah. Everything kinda sucks. Hopefully 5-10 years thing swill be sorted out, but I expect some serious problems before then. Anyway, this isnt a politics site. I’ve Rangers of Shadow Deep waiting to be played when I eventually catch up on my painting and I quite like the idea of using Gaslands as a starting point to lure in the toddler when he’s old enough

Agree. Anyway, my teenager is currently 3d printing his DKK alternative army (Valour Korps from The Makers Cult) and we’re discussing our next few games of Dropfleet and Dropzone Commander… Played some Battletech yesterday. So, the sooner you get him into gaming the better 😉

I have quite a collection of the blue rule books from Osprey and so I’ve not been disappointed in any of them.

The book and the French and Britch bands have just turned up. Hopefully get to have a read though over what’s left of the week-end.

Silver Bayonet is on my list of things I want, but I really need to get to Frostgrave and Stargrave. Rangers of Shadowdeep is a great coop game.

Hahaha, brilliant to see how excited @avernos is to be there. To be honest, I’d be so myself as well. Osprey is my favourite company with all those fantastic rulesets that they publish.

I have enjoyed the other Osprey games but held off on Silver Bayonet for the moment. The minis for the game sort of throw me a little not quite what I was expecting to be honest. What I really need is a Jason Vs Gerry playtrough.

Noodling on their Billion Suns game now. Printed up a fleet of ships and painted a star battlemat!

Have really enjoyed the Undaunted series, less than 2 weeks to wait for Reinforcements.

Silver Bayonet looks great! But I have to say that the Undaunted games look even more exciting. Need to try one of them out soon.

“We will have you back here” he said, and Gerry raised his eyebrows. Intrigued, perhaps?
