What's In The Box For The German Starter Force?

Justin sits down again with Chris from Battlefront to take a look at the German starter force for Flames of War.

This Panzer Kampfgruppe provides you with plenty of options on the battlefield, combining plenty of armour with fast, mobile infantry supported by artillery. The set also sees them accompanied by the infamous Tiger tanks!

What an amazing boxed starter army! Still very much torn between the Germans and soviets. Every video I watch convinces me to a certain faction, but then I see another video that makes me change my mind!

My wallet asks you to stop tempting me like this.

But that is yet another great starter box.

Naughty Justin – Flak18/36 88mm was first used as an artillery piece and anti-tank weapon in the Spanish Civil War. The Western Desert campaign in WW2 was where it became almost a legend – long lines of sight were available so it could engage Matildas, light tanks and cruisers at well over 1000m range. Hubner was one of the famous gunners – knocked out 8 tanks in one day.

I remember the days when Justin would look at these sprues and be guessing what most of it is. John has trained him well since then.

Well, as an American, I have to play the British forces obviously.

If I’m not mistaken it would appear that the “screaming meemie” sprue can be built as a 37mm ATG. It looks like you can build one with the Stielgranate 41 in the kit too. One of those made an appearance in Band of Brothers during the assault on Carentan.

So you can build this kit all sorts of ways. Nice!
