What's In The Cards For Flames Of War Units

Justin and Chris sit down one more time to take a look through the Flames of War Unit Card Packs.

These unit cards help you to keep track of every unit you have on the table, keeping an eye on stats, and building your army lists without having to constantly flick back and forth through the army books.

Looks like the the cards will have to be a compulsory buy, more to add to the shopping list.

I’m starting to think that the background to historical games is easier to learn than made up fictional settings – nobody ever retcon’s and changes real history. (Although they do occasionally find out new things that had been forgotten).

Those cards are going to make playing so much easier.

Unit cards are such a great way of playing a game. I love that a lot of companies have started to see the value of them, even just basic rules help. Yeah, we can go down the AoS route with rule rules on the cards, but even simple checking is so much easier. I hope more companies do this in the future.

The unit cards have been one of the best things about version 4. Such a compact quick reference

So how much time was removed with the cut for Justin opening the packet? Was he at it for hours?

Unit cards are amazingly handy. I play 40k and would be so helpful to have a small card with unit stats by each unit so I don’t have to flip through papers or a book, especially when I don’t get to play enough to remember all the stats

Nice to see a good points update for the different periods of the war. Also, I do like how the FoW cards are laid out. Really clean, readable, and not cluttered.
