I hope warlord makes a plastic kit for these asap as I really don’t want the metal ones

These uniform videos are great from a paint study point of view. It can be really difficult for novices to World War II wargaming to figure out uniform colors and patterns even in the age of the internet.

I just love the Fallschirmjager uniform. Recently watched a documentary about these guys at Monte Cassino. They only withdrew from the monastery because of events elsewhere on the line. They were not pleased with the fact that they had to withdraw.

Fascinating how you can live out an interest in history in so many ways.

I’m definately enjoying these little discussions on the uniforms. Perhaps something to keep in mind for future Locked and Loaded Shows.

Great stuff. The button thing is still weird though.

We really are enjoying these posts! This is my Husband’s Regiment when he was in the Military! It was informative for me and I loved seeing him beam with pride! We wish we were there 🙂 But alas we are across the pond, but hope to make one of your events in the near future.

I should make a mention – he was with the Royal Irish – I realized I posted this on the wrong video lol I got confused! 😀

Maybe my guess is wrong, but if you have 4 guys making a 2 man tent it makes sense that only 50% of your guys would be asleep at any one time. The others would be stagging on, cleaning kit, patrols, etc. Theres my tuppence on the subject.

my husband and I were talking about this, if you have a 4 man unit, 2 guys on watch as the other two sleep, and you rotate shifts. It is safer this way and you want someone on guard at all times as not to be taken by surprise. So it makes sense for a two man tent.

Great stuff, keep all the little detail highlights coming, there’s nothing wrong with a button fetish :).
