It Still Only Counts As One! Forge World’s Big LotR Mumak Upgrades

Forge World has added another big kit to their webstore for fans of The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit. Here we have their Mûmak War Leader...
Many of you will remember the amazing epic clash upon the Pelennor Fields in Return Of The King. Well, this set allows you to upgrade one of the plastic Mûmak kits from Games Workshop with some additional resin accessories to make it into a War Leader.
The fellow at the lead of this attack has also been created for you to add to your collection. Obviously, this is before he met an untimely end at the tip of Éomer’s spear.
The kit has sold exceptionally well and is already temporarily out of stock. Make sure to keep checking back to see if they come up in their store as I have a feeling they are going to keep flying off the digital shelves.
"The resin Mûmak War Leader upgrade set consists of thirty components which replace their equivalent parts on the Mûmak, including two replacement tusks, thirteen spikes which attach to the tusks, a replacement trunk, and two ears. These ears are pierced through with ropes, which the War Leader – who replaces the Mûmak Champion – uses to guide the Royal Mûmak."
This is a neat kit and has had some people speculating as to what might come up if Games Workshop ever looks to do a new Starter Set for Middle-earth on the tabletop. Gondor and Rohan fighting at Pelennor or maybe within the ruins of Osgiliath would be a very cool idea.

May be good to see a Hannibal fight against some Romans with them?

with the resin upgrades , some conversion work and an epic paint job i expect to see some pretty impressive centre pieces starting to appear. not totally convinced by the legs on the Mumak war leader but tis a small thing. really nice to see the continued forge world support for middle earth.
so tempted to fill that spot between, my current two.
nice! just reiterates the need for Forge World to take over the LotR/Hobbit range, they’re the only people who can do the range justice having been left in the doldrums for so long
Those are some good looking upgrades and War Leader looks rather good as well.
Well it was bloody Middle Earth Night on Warhammer TV last Thursday.(wee small hours of Friday morning here in Australia ….I listen to it on repaly usually on Saturday night) Once a month they roll in Adam Troke (who’s a wonderful bloke and easy to listen to ) and his team. Actually being in Australia … buying the War Mumack plus upgrade from Forge World costs me less than buying Morathi (not that I would …. ^&^^ elf*) from a local GW shop…. so the expensive crack wasn’t a swipe at Forge World prices just ‘expensive” as blowing m,ore money on hobby.
