Malifaux’s Nythera Wraps Up With A Guild Win

Wyrd Miniatures has announced that the worldwide Malifaux portion of Nythera has just wrapped up with one hell of a mad dash to the finish line! The Guild managed to secure the top spot, which means that this year's Nightmare Edition model will hail from the Guild, leaving the Arcanists with the bittersweet number two spot.
Number two in Nythera means the Arcanists will get this year's Miss model. No matter how you slice it, at the end of the day there will be fantastic alternate models for both of these factions courtesy of hard working gamers participating in Nythera.

I’m unfamiliar with this contest but it sounds like the second place winner gets a model from these forces range decked out in the outfit of the winners range? sort of like the model takes on a cosplay role. I could be way off but it’s a guess.

“There will be a first place and second place Faction prize for this event: first place will determine the Faction of the 2016 Nightmare model(s), while second place will determine the Faction of the 2016 GenCon Freebie.”
It wasn’t a contest but a campaign, like the old Armageddon campaign 40k had. Guild won, so it’ll have a special edition model released (essentially, you take a model and beef it up, like PP’s extreme edition models). Arcanist faction will have a “miss” model, so a more lighthearted take on an existing model (often a male model getting a female version, but not necessarily)
