Step Through the Breach into Malifaux RPG

Wyrd Miniatures have started up a kickstarter to let you step into the world of Malifaux as you never have before. Through the Breach: a Malifaux Role Playing Game.
"Through the Breach is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of Malifaux. Players take on the roles of various citizens, such as Gunfighters, Drudges, Dabblers, and Entertainers. Each of these characters is as unique as the players themselves. These are the Fated. As a Fated, you know your future, it has been told to you, as cryptic as the sparrow on a moonless night. It is your task to rush headlong into the arms of destiny, or to carve your own future."
Malifaux has a really rich background to draw upon so it will be good to see how this new RPG allows you to explore its setting.
The kickstarter is already getting a lot of support, so I look forward to this becoming a reality. Since it is described as being a tabletop rpg, maybe it can be combined well with the skirmish game, allowing you a good bridge between gaming sessions and interesting concepts for campaigns.

Awesome news! As much as I love the IK RPG I think this is going to be a real contender for our Steampunk RPG of choice at the tabletop. Sure the world is ‘smaller’ with a more specific focus but if you want to run a game of personal horror with a steampunk twist, I can’t think of better source material!
I signed up to support. Really wish there would be more variety on the pledge levels though.
I kind of like the honesty in the pledge levels. I hate seeing a kickstarter with 25 pledge levels all of which promise a different tchotchke or disposable piece of crap I really don’t want. I usually have to hunt through them to find the one that gets me the game, and some bonus game materials and nothing else at all. I think the levels they do offer already add things I would have no interest in. I can see myself playing this RPG.
Oh no!!!!! It’s so close to christmas I’m not supposed to be spending cash on myself. I’ll just blame it on Pandora like I do when anything in Maifaux goes wrong. Miss Terious just makes it too good not to chuck in right now though.
I wonder what pledge it’d take to get a Nightmare Chompy thrown in 🙂
