Battle Through Micro Art’s New Ostfront World War II Terrain
March 17, 2025 by brennon
Micro Art Studio expanded their current range of high-quality and fully coloured World War II terrain with the addition of the new 28mm scale Ostfront Village which takes the fighting towards the Eastern Front.
Ostfront Village Doma // Micro Art Studio
This collection has been designed to match the Eastern Front and the kind of villages that would have been found in Eastern Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. This could set the stage for your gruelling battles as you dive into large-scale campaigns between the Germans and the Soviets as they battle back and forth for control of the region.
There are twelve new pre-painted/coloured buildings in the range alongside a set of fences for building up a fully realised Eastern Front village. Each of the buildings, as you can see below, features fully detailed interiors thanks to their UV printing so you can battle around these buildings and inside them.

The terrain has been designed to work with 28mm wargames and whilst they require assembly, there is no painting required whatsoever so you can slot this all together and away you go. There's enough in the range already to make it suit a lot of skirmish tabletops and when you add a few more pieces, you could go seriously big with this.
Ostfront Village Foresters Dacha // Micro Art Studio
The collection features a lot of different homes but also businesses and workshops that would have been a key part of these villages on the Eastern Front. There is also an ace Church which could end up being the focal point of your games and acts as a centerpiece.
Ostfront Village Tserkov // Micro Art Studio
The previous offerings from Micro Art Studio in this pre-painted range are fantastic and we really like what they were able to do for Normandy. Switching up and moving to the Eastern Front now gives you options for two iconic focal points of this conflict. I'd love to see them do the same for the battles in North Africa and eventually Italy.
Ostfront Village Workshop // Micro Art Studio
You can get all of the buildings individually so if you just need one or two to finish a tabletop, you'll find those here. You can also go all-in and get your hands on the full Ostfront Village Bundle which gives you everything you need for a solid tabletop's worth of terrain.
Ostfront Village // Micro Art Studio
Stick a few trees and bushes into the mix and you'll end up having a good-looking tabletop without much effort at all. Get stuck into a few scrapes and maybe skirmish around on those buildings! Could you be tempted by the Ostfront Village and some battles on the Eastern Front in Bolt Action or perhaps V For Victory?

does look nice
They look fine, but for me the problem with all pre-painted terrain is the price. Filling a table for a 6×4 wargame is going to cost a couple hundred pounds at least, probably closer to 300.
Unpainted mdf is so much cheaper.
Lovely detail
Very nice. I could use these for Zona Alfa/Kontraband.
Looks great but to bloody expensive.
