1st Corps recently added a couple of new miniatures to their World War II collection. When Two Men Went To War is a nice new set of 28mm miniatures sculpted by Mark Fuller, inspired by a certain popular BBC comedy drama.

This set adds a hapless youth and a pompous but well-meaning older gentleman into the mix so you can create a fun Home Guard force for use in your World War II wargames. Both fellows have grabbed their weapons and find themselves facing down a threat that they didn't truly think would ever come to their shores.

If you've not had a look at the Home Front range by 1st Corps before, it's a superb selection of miniatures for collectors as well as those wanting to play What If? scenarios from World War II. As well as getting your Home Guard forces, you can also get vehicles, patrol boats, naval landing parties and more.

These could maybe be fun options for those wanting to build an alternative Bolt Action force but they could easily slip into many other games too.

What do you think of this charming duo?
