Warlord Games introduced a brand new Soldier Of Fortune recently for use in your 28mm wargames like Bolt Action. This fellow is quite a mouthful but see what you think of Lieutenant-General Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart VC!

Lieutenant-General Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart was famous for saying "Franky, I had enjoyed the war" and was quite a colourful character from the period as well as a fun new Soldier Of Fortune for Warlord to have added into the mix. Here's some more of the background on this fellow from Warlord...

"Carton de Wiart was born a Belgian aristocrat, raised in Egypt, and educated in England, before enlisting in the British Army in 1899 for service as a trooper in the Boer War. From there he would win the Victoria Cross (and lose a hand and an eye!) in the First World War, retire to a country estate in Poland, be recalled to service in 1939, command the Anglo-French Namsos campaign, be taken prisoner in Libya, and then sent back to England to negotiate a potential peace treaty with Italy. He would then be sent to China as Churchill’s personal representative and would continue to work as a military advisor, reporter, and diplomat until the end of the war. How’s that for a resumé?!"

So, he had quite a good outing as a soldier despite all of the things that he faced during his career. The miniature has been designed to depict him during the Norwegian campaign, leading his troops forward with revolver in hand. He was an unconventional leader and that could make for some fun scenario play on the tabletop.

The miniature comes in Warlord Resin and will be available throughout all of May through to the 31st. That means you've got plenty of time to get your hands on the miniature and get him painted up before dropping him into your games.

As well as being a great miniature for Bolt Action, I reckon that you could put together a fun campaign or two based around 02 Hundred Hours and this fellow. Imagine trying to keep him quiet and indulge in a bit of stealth!

Will you be picking up this new Soldier Of Fortune?
