15mm Viking Battles On The Horizon With Blade Wrath!

The creators of Fjord Serpents: Vikings At War, a great historically-inspired naval wargame set against the backdrop of the Dark Ages, are working on another game behind the scenes, Blade Wrath. 15mm warfare awaits!

Blade Wrath: Fury Of Vikings // Hammer Of The North

Following on from the success of Fjord Serpents: Vikings At War, they have been developing a scale agnostic set of rules for playing out Viking battles on the tabletop. The rules will follow that in terms of their mechanics but Hammer Of The North will also produce their own range of 15mm miniatures based on reworked figures from the 10mm Fjord Serpents collection.

Much like Fjord Serpents, Blade Wrath will be developed with historical accuracy in mind and follow the raiding-size skirmishes that you'd see a lot of during the Viking Age. You'll be able to choose from several Viking warbands with their own unique feel made up of heroes and warriors.

Games will be playable in a one-off fashion but also as part of a campaign mode where you can track the progress of your warband throughout their saga.

15mm Viking Miniatures // Hammer Of The North

There are no plans as to where Blade Wrath is going to pop up at the moment but the game could go to Kickstarter or become a print-on-demand game instead. They do want to make the 15mm miniatures available for people to purchase soon, though!

What do you think? More options for Viking battles is always a good idea and this one already features some nice miniatures if you've been a fan of what they did with Fjord Serpents.
