Games Workshop are bolstering some of the factions battling across The Mortal Realms in the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The Kharadron Overlords are taking to the skies and plundering to their heart's content with these new reinforcements.

Null-Khemist - Warhammer Age of Sigmar

Null-Khemist // Warhammer Age of Sigmar

Leading the way, we have a new character in the form of the strange-looking Null-Khemist. This member of the Kharadron Overlords makes use of a nullsuit which has been crafted from nullstone meteorites from the aetheric void. This allows the wearer to withstand terribly hazardous environments, even those corrupted by the Skaven.

It looks a bit alien with that faceless diving helmet, but it does fit into the vibe of the ever-changing and innovating Kharadron Overlords. I think the miniature might be a little bit busy, but perhaps it's just the paint job?

Salvagers & Harpoon Crews

Making up the bulk of the new miniatures for the new edition Battletome are the members of the mercenary Vongrim Guild. Within their ranks, down-on-their-luck Kharadron can make a name for themselves.

Moving away from long-range weapons, the Vongrim Salvagers favour the cutlass and the pistol like proper sky pirates. They get stuck in and will be the ones making up the core of your mercenary band that could be the main focus of your army OR a contingent that you've brought along with you to help even the odds.

The Vongrim Harpoon Crew are big game hunters who are looking to bring down the terrible aetheric beasts that destroy the ships of the Kharadron Overlords.

They are armed with hand-forged weapons that they use to bring down the wildlife that also gets lured towards the strands of aether-gold that the Kharadron covet. Their beards are also far beyond the regulation length, which marks them as rebellious amongst the ranks of the Vongrim!

I'm not sure what to make of the miniatures. To a degree, I like them and the fact that we're seeing more unhelmeted Kharadron. It gives them more personality and fits the background of the Kharadron, going down that piratical angle. I don't know about the flotation devices they're wearing, though. They match the rest of the range but just feel a bit derpy.

Defend The Dock!

The Kharadron Overlords may find themselves defending one of these, the Zontari Endrin Dock.

These were designed to work as mobile platforms that float alongside the skyfleet in combat. It can help with repairs as well as auto-endrins that float out to where they are needed and aid the Kharadron Overlords as they battle in the skies and seek their plunder. Those auto-endrins can also drop stunclouds and grudgeblast demolitions, which might be helpful in dissuading potential plunderers.

New Spearhead & Battletome

A new Battletome means a new Spearhead and the Kharadron Overlords will be able to call on the Grundstok Trailblazers.

This set comes with the Endrinmaster in a Dirigible Suit who commands five Grundstok Thunderers, three Endrinriggers and a Grundstok Gunhauler. Mobile firepower is the name of the game and this gives you a good idea of what makes up the majority of the Kharadron Overlords range. You will either love this or hate it!

You'll get new rules, new magical items, new ways of playing and plenty of lore to get you up to speed with the Kharadron Overlords in the newest edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
